Flying in from London today for concert. Heathrow Express delayed because it's too hot in London, really. So missed flight. Now flying to Düsseldorf and being picked up. Hope you start a bit late;-) won't be there til 9pm. Tim

it was a hot day in Cologne, but the former Gloria Cinema
with it`s nice original 50`s style foyer offered a comfortable airconditioned atmosphere.

Well, the support act was groovy, but the band also proved a lack of charme and esprit with every
tune they played and they did not finish too early.

FFS was as superb as expected after we had seen the
show in Paris on Arte TV, again the bandmembers seem to have a lot of fun.
On some songs Alex`s vocals did not quite reach the level as on the Paris show, but he was still great.
Again we noticed how much most of the songs have improved during their tour. Little Boy from The Suberbs
has now much more shape and vibe than the album version,
The Power Couple with a bit more speed is even more perfect than on the album, Call Girl has a true edge now.
I Like the Improvements they are doing to No. 1 Song and My Way while the FF songs are still a bit too 1,2,3 format for my taste.

Maybe there will be a live album in the not to distant future,
and yes, we do hope for another FFS album.

My wife, my 11 years old son and myself enjoyed the show
very much!

It really was warm and the Gloria was packed which made for a lively atmosphere! Missed Pollyester but FFS were absolutely fantastic. As posted already both collaborators seemed to enjoy their performance and the crowd certainly did. It all seemed to be over far to quickly! Enjoy Amsterdam.....

Glad to see you're nurturing the next generation of fans, PeterE, my two (24 & 17) are, sadly, a lost cause

great, sweaty show.
the people seemed to love it and went crazy no matter whose songs they played, ff, s or ffs!
they were super tight and performed very powerful. though they made some huge mistakes during police encounters.

luckily i had the chance to get some vinyl signed by r&r

one of the happiest encounters of my live :)

Sounds like a great night, and well worth a long and frantic journey!

I also felt that "Boy From the Suburbs" really came across well live in the UK. In fact, its been lingering in my head ever since; I don't want it to go away though.

Hadn't realised they'd increased the tempo performing "The Power Couple" but it makes sense now. Its got a quirky bounce to it. The liveliness of Alex's singing, makes me think of a ring master at a circus. Someone made a praiseworthy point about it being testament to Russell continuing to be excitingly experimental with range and style.

another review ( strange - the reviewer writes about hot temperatures, but they were moderate at the venue, ac was working fine)

Last sentence is very nice, I try to say in English:

"Even if the collaboration is only for one summer, the audience will always be able to say, "I was there there to see it"
