yes! at Flow Festival ...
Internationally acclaimed, pop pioneers Sparks – Californian brothers Ron and Russell Mael – return to Finland to play at Flow Festival. Name-checked as a major influence on musicians as varied as Morrissey, Björk, The Ramones, Faith No More, Sonic Youth, and Nirvana, Sparks’ music has always been innovative and instantly identifiable. Described as the smartest, most consistently evolving band in the history of rock, these musical mavericks have created a unique legacy both on record and in concert. While recent live performances have seen various incarnations – including performing as a duo and uniting with orchestras – Ron and Russell will be joined by a band for this not-to-be-missed performance. Sparks recently announced that their new studio album ’Hippopotamus‘ will be released in 2017. |

As a Finn I must say that this is fantastic news indeed! It's about an hour and twenty minutes to Helsinki from where I live. It's very expensive for me, even a ticket for one day, at the festival, however. I wonder how long their set will be. |

QOTSA are playing a festival August 11-13 in San Francisco, which means Michael Schuman won't be in Helsinki. 🙁 |
